Ex-student Rebecca Koball came to SSFC last week to talk with our Accounting students about gaining work experience and being sponsored through university by Deloitte (providers of audit, consulting, financial advisory, risk management, and tax services via independent companies).
They operate an ‘Early Identification Programme’ which sponsors post A level students who’d like work experience between school and university. The work experience involves a 7 month paid placement and £1,500 to assist in any other plans for the rest of the ‘gap’ year. Whilst at University, Rebecca will receive a £1,500 academic bursary every year and at least four weeks paid work. Although she’s not guaranteed a job at the end of her degree; she can skip parts of the normal job application process – assuming she chooses to apply.
Rebecca came to SSFC from the Corbett School and studies Maths, Accounting, Geography, Business Studies and Further Maths and is looking for a career in accountancy following her degree in Accountancy at Exeter University.
