Shropshire Schools FA County Schools and Colleges U18 Cup Winners

Congratulations to SSFC 1st team footballers who last night (6 May) won the Shropshire Schools Football Association County Schools and Colleges U18 Cup. Playing against TCAT, previous winners of the Cup, the score after extra time was 3-2. The match was played at AFC Telford United's The New Bucks Head Stadium.

Congratulations should also go to the 2nd team who won the league this year.

Teacher in charge of football Bob Mulford said 'I'm very pleased with the effort and character shown by all players in college football. It is a fantastic achievement to win both the Shropshire league and cup for the first time in the college history. The game was very competitive, high quality and played in the spirit that sport should be proud of.'
