Inaugural event hailed as a success

For the first time at SSFC, student successes were celebrated at an event in the Walker Theatre at Theatre Severn.

Attended by parents and invited guests, the evening was entertaining and informative. As well as awards for outstanding achievement, community action and business enterprise, there were presentations from groups as diverse as why Thomas Telford was such a great man in history to how to make bacteria glow in the dark (a bacteria and jelly fish DNA cocktail!). There was even a karate demonstration by World Junior Champion Rob Jones and 'Little Black Dress' fashion show by A2 and AS textiles students. All this and performances by incredibly talented musicians and singers.
