The Study Centre

The award-winning Study Centre is the base for all student support services in College. In particular the following support services are available:

Financial Support:

The College may be able to offer some help towards the costs incurred whilst at College. More information about EMAs (Education Maintenance Allowances) / 16-19 Bursary Fund can be found in the leaflets 'Financial Support' and 'Transport Assistance' from Student Services.

Study Support:

A team of staff is available to provide general or specific support needs.

Counselling Support:

Free independent counselling is available at College. Please contact Wendy Challinor, Youth Support Worker.

Learning Resources:

The Study Centre is a cross college resource for all students that houses a broad range of learning resources in print, audio-visual and electronic formats. There is also an extensive fiction collection, a great range of DVDs as well as computers dedicated for open access use. The Study Centre Team is available to help students to fully utlise the resources in order to support and enhance their learning. Students have access to the full range of learning resoruces and serivces on Moodle which is accessible frfom any inernet-enabled computer.
