Following the explosion in the west end of Shrewsbury on Sunday 3rd January, students were unable to start back at college as planned. Fortunately damage to the college was minimal with only a few windows needing replacement. Following close liaison with the police the college was opened safely and successfully on Wednesday 6th January.
Martin Ward comments ‘We have been very fortunate given the severity of the blast. My thanks go to the students, parents and staff of the college for their response to the situation. We are now working towards getting the site back fully operational and reinstating the use of the White House for students. Exams start next week so it’s key that things get back to normal as soon as possible.’
