Are you thinking of changing your career direction or updating your skills? Discover the rewarding sectors of Accountancy, Counselling and Education for your next move.

Join our informal Aspire 26 session and discover the wide range of directions careers in these areas can take you.

What's happening on the night?

  • On arrival, you can explore a range of information stands from local employers in these areas, trainers and learning support teams
  • Our Director of Higher Education, Jane Owen, will then introduce the evening's guest speakers, alumni and employers who will be taking part in your sector-specific workshops during the night
  • You will then go off to your chosen area's session to delve deeper into your area of interest and take part in activities and Q&As, with opportunities to hear from our guest speakers about how they found their calling
  • You will also be able to chat to students already on our courses about what inspired them and how they are finding the learning process
  • As well as speak to our team of expert tutors and teachers about what SC offers and how to get started

"Studying higher education at Shrewsbury College gave real value as the tutors’ stories about their experiences helped to contextualise course materials. Now I’m exploring a top-up year or a higher-level apprenticeship, with the goal of teaching others after gaining industry experience. My advice to new students is to stay organised, but don’t over-focus on just one area.”
