The Show is Shrewsbury College’s annual end-of-year creative showcase, where visitors can see student work in fashion, textiles, art, design, photography and creative media over a three-floor art and design exhibition at the English Bridge Campus. Entry is free, and visitors are encouraged to pre-book.

Visitors can explore a diverse range of eye-catching pieces, from traditional artwork and fashion to new media, multimedia installations and cutting-edge design projects - each reflecting the unique perspectives of students at different stages of their creative journey.

More than just an exhibition, the show highlights the exceptional teaching, support and industry-focused guidance provided by teachers and technicians, empowering students to experiment and push creative boundaries. The result is a compelling showcase of both technical skill and bold artistic vision.

Whether you’re a prospective student, family member, school, or art enthusiast, the Shrewsbury College end-of-year Show offers a unique opportunity to experience emerging creative talent first-hand and to celebrate the future potential of the next generation of artists and designers.

Fine Art A Level

This two-year course builds advanced skills in painting, printmaking, mixed media, and 3D work. You’ll explore ideas through sketchbooks, experimentation, and artist research, leading to a personal investigation and final exhibition. Assessed entirely through coursework, this course prepares you for art foundation courses, university study, and careers in the creative industries.

Graphic Communication A Level

Graphic Communication A Level focuses on branding, typography, illustration, and digital design. You’ll learn how to communicate visually using industry-relevant techniques while building a strong creative portfolio. Ideal for progression into graphic design, marketing, advertising, or digital media careers.

Photography A Level

This practical course explores digital photography, image editing, and visual storytelling. You’ll experiment with styles and techniques while developing a personal portfolio and final project. Perfect for students aiming for careers in photography, media, or visual arts.

Textiles A Level

Textiles A Level combines traditional techniques with contemporary design. You’ll create innovative outcomes using a range of materials while developing your own style through research and experimentation. A strong pathway into fashion, interiors, or textile design.

Level 2 Diploma in Art & Design

This introductory course develops essential skills across drawing, painting, 3D design, and digital media. You’ll experiment with materials, build confidence, and create a portfolio to progress onto Level 3 courses or further creative study.

Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art & Design

This course offers an in-depth exploration of fine art, graphics, and 3D design. You’ll work on projects, develop your portfolio, and refine your creative identity. Ideal for progression to university, apprenticeships, or careers in the creative sector.

Level 3 Extended Diploma in Fashion and Textiles

This specialist course focuses on garment construction, pattern cutting, and textile design. You’ll develop practical skills and produce a professional portfolio, preparing you for careers in fashion or further study.

Level 3 Extended Diploma in Photography

Work across studio and location photography while learning lighting, editing, and visual storytelling. This portfolio-based course prepares you for university or careers in photography and creative media.

UAL Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design

This one-year course allows you to explore a range of disciplines before specialising. You’ll refine your portfolio, develop independent practice, and progress to university-level study in art and design.
