Thinking of starting a part-time evening course or upskilling your professional development?

Come along to our Course Advice Event and have a chat with our knowledgeable staff about the wide range of education and training we can offer you.

Whether you're looking to upskill, change career, or explore a new interest, our friendly advisors will be on hand to guide you through our wide range of part-time and higher education courses. Discover flexible study options, speak with tutors, and find out about funding and support available to help you succeed.

If you are returning to education, balancing learning with work, or simply pursuing a personal goal, we’ll help you find the course that fits your life.

Please select your preferred arrival time on the calendar below and then tell us which subject area you would like to speak to. This event is expected to be extremely busy, and though we will do all we can to see you at your preferred time, this is not a fixed appointment. There may be a short wait until the right team member is able to speak to you.

If there are no time slots left for your subject, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the name of the area you want to speak to and your preferred arrival time, and we will get back in touch about how we can help.

Booking will close at 12noon on Tuesday to allow us time to share lists with teachers.
You can "walk-up" on the night; however, please be aware that you will need to wait until a teacher has a gap in bookings to chat to you, and that may not be until the end of the evening.

"Studying higher education at Shrewsbury College gave real value as the tutors’ stories about their experiences helped to contextualise course materials. Now I’m exploring a top-up year or a higher-level apprenticeship, with the goal of teaching others after gaining industry experience. My advice to new students is to stay organised, but don’t over-focus on just one area.”
