Shrewsbury College have marked an impressive first year competing in the Association of Colleges West Midlands 7‑a‑side Pan‑Disability Football League, finishing second in their home tournament and securing a top‑three position overall in the league standings.
The competition brought together eight colleges from across the region - City of Wolverhampton College, Birmingham Metropolitan College, Stoke‑on‑Trent College, North Warwickshire & South Leicestershire College, Heart of Birmingham Vocational College, Hereward College, Sandwell College, and Shrewsbury College - each taking turns to host a festival-style tournament throughout the academic year.
Shrewsbury College was proud to host the penultimate tournament of the season at our London Road Campus. The home side rose to the occasion, finishing 2nd on the day, earning silver medals! We'd like to send huge congratulations to Birmingham Met College for taking the top spot and gold medals home.

Across the full season, Shrewsbury College secured an impressive 3rd place overall, while Birmingham Met were crowned overall league champions.
A huge thank you was extended to all the travelling teams - BMET, Hereward College and Heart of Birmingham Vocational College for making the journey and contributing to a fantastic day of football.
This debut season has showcased the college’s growing commitment to inclusive sport and community engagement. Finishing as silver medallists on home turf and securing a top‑three league position sets a strong foundation for future success.
