Shrewsbury College Pan-Disability Football Tournament
With the amber heat warning in place this week, we know temperatures are set to rise, which may make our campuses feel less comfortable.

While there’s no official limit for indoor temperatures, we want to help you stay safe, comfortable, and able to learn.

Here are some simple tips to help you manage the heat:

  • Dress for the weather – wear light, loose-fitting clothing
  • Stay hydrated – bring a refillable water bottle and top it up at campus water stations
  • Take regular breaks – especially during lessons, and keep drinking water

Need a cooler space?

If you (or someone else) are struggling with the heat, please head to one of these areas:

  • London Road Campus – The Hub (air-conditioned)
  • Welsh Bridge Campus – Shaded Area in courtyard
  • English Bridge Campus – Wakeman Hall, or park at the side of the English Bridge Campus

Please contact a member of staff if you do feel unwell due to the heat. A limited supply of bottled water will be available for students without a reusable bottle — please speak to Student Services if needed (but please do bring your own reusable bottle).
