The Welcome Day for applicant students scheduled for Wednesday, 24 June, will go ahead as planned, and we look forward to welcoming students who will be starting with us in September 2026.
However, as the weather forecast is predicting very high temperatures on the day, we kindly ask you to plan your journey carefully and be mindful of your travel arrangements. Public transport services may be busier than usual or disrupted during periods of extreme heat.
We want to help all our visitors stay safe, comfortable, and able to participate in the event and here are some simple tips to help you for the day:
- Allow extra time for your journey to and from the college
- Check live travel updates before you set off
- Dress for the weather – wear light, loose-fitting clothing
- Stay hydrated – bring a refillable water bottle and top it up at campus water stations
There will be regular breaks during lessons, and our applicant students will be encouraged to keep drinking water. Bottled water will be available for students without a reusable bottle - please speak to Student Services if needed (but please do bring your own reusable bottle).
If you encounter any difficulties getting to the college, please don’t worry - our staff will be on hand to support you on arrival.
